EASY Balsamic Dressing (5 ingredients!)


This simple balsamic dressing is made with just 5 simple ingredients and is sweet, tangy and super flavorful. Tastes astonishing on all your favorite salads! 

Balsamic salad dressing is one of my absolute favorites. It has the top combination of flavors and adds the great touch to so many different salads. We love serving it with a large chopped salad or steak salad. It also tastes delicious drizzled over a caprese salad.

This balsamic dressing is so simple to whip up in 5 minutes or less. I bet you already have everything you need in your pantry, too. The flavor is slightly sweet with a small bit of tang from the balsamic vinegar. The honey adds the great sweetness, while helping to bind the oil and vinegar together. You could even add in a few spoonfuls of mayo or Greek yogurt to give it a creamy consistency. So tasty!

Preparation

COMBINE the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, honey, dijon mustard, minced garlic, salt and pepper in a small bowl or mason jar.

WHISK until the dressing is well combined. Then cover with lid and store in the fridge until alert to use.

SHAKE the dressing just before serving, then drizzle over your favorite salad.

Storing

I love to keep the balsamic dressing in a mason jar in the fridge. It will keep for up to 2 weeks. Before each use, just give it a large shake since the oil and vinegar will likely separate.

  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 Tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 Tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt , more to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed black pepper , more. to taste
  • Combine. the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, honey, mustard, garlic, salt and pepper in a mason jar. Whisk or shake until well combined.

  • Store with a lid in the refrigerator. Shake just before serving. Enjoy over your favorite salad.
